The Impreza 2.5RS was an all wheel drive performance variant of the First Generation Subaru Impreza created for the North American market. The 2.5RS was introduced for the 1998 model year, and was fitted with a naturally aspirated 2.5L flat four engine. Initially, the 2.5RS was only available as a coupe, but starting for the the 2000 model year, a sedan version was also offered.
