The Saturn Corporation was an American automotive manufacturer that was founded in 1985. Saturn was established by General Motors in order to allow the company to sell a wider range of models in order to compete with the growing Japanese influence in the American automotive market. Some of the company's most notable models included the L-Series, S-Series, Ion, and Sky. While Saturn became a well-known brand in the US market, it never achieved great success, so in 2010, GM decided to discontinue the brand.
