The Saab 96 was a series of compact cars introduced in 1960. The 96 (Ninety-Six) was the successor to the Saab 93 and was offered as a two door coupe. Power for the 96 initially came from an 841cc two-stroke inline three, but a 1.5L V4 was added in 1967 (1.7L V4 in USA due to emissions). The Saab 96 remained in production until 1980, and was replaced by the Saab 99.
