The Scimitar was introduced by Reliant in 1964. It was a sports car manufactured in various versions and configurations. During its years of production, this car evolved from a 2 door coupe (GT), to a station wagon (GTE), a convertible (GTC) and even a 2 seater roadster (Sabre). These rear wheel drive cars were available, depending on its variant, with manual or automatic transmissions. The Scimitar engine range spanned from the modest 1.3L inline six to the powerful 3.0L V6, reflecting the diversity of models and markets that Reliant attempted to cover. The Reliant Scimitar was produced until 1995.
