The second generation of Porsche Panamera, which is commonly referred to as the 971, was introduced for the 2017 model year. The 971 Panamera saw the introduction of a station wagon body style known as the Sport Turismo that was sold alongside the standard four door liftback sedan. These cars were equipped with V6 or V8 engines, and featured rear wheel drive or four wheel drive configurations. Notable variants included the 4 E-Hybrid, 4S, GTS as well as the top of the line Turbo S.
