The Porsche Cayenne Type 957 was the second evolution of the First Generation Porsche Cayenne. Introduced for the 2008 model year, the 957 Cayenne saw updated styling, a new range of V6 and V8 engines, and various small mechanical improvements. The 957 Cayenne was built in a range of variants, which included the 3.6, S, GTS, Turbo, and Turbo S. A few limited editions were also made, with the most notable being the Cayenne S Transsyberia. Production of the 957 Cayenne lasted until 2010, when Porsche introduced the Second Generation Porsche Cayenne.
