The Porsche Cayenne Turbo was a performance focused variant of the 955 Cayenne. Debuting for the 2003 model year, the 955 Cayenne Turbo featured a range of upgrades and improvements, including larger brakes, a locking differential, as well as uprated adjustable suspension. The most notable feature was the 4.5L twin-turbo V8 engine, which generated 444hp and 457 lb ft of torque. This power was sent through a 6 speed automatic gearbox to all four wheels. Production of the 955 Porsche Cayenne Turbo ended in 2006, eventually being replaced by the 957 Porsche Cayenne Turbo for the 2008 model year.
