The second evolution of the Pontiac Ventura was introduced for the 1971 model year. Known as the Ventura II, this series of cars were offered as coupes, hatchbacks, and sedans. The Ventura II was fitted with an array of engines, including inline four, V6, and V8 versions. Notable variants of the Ventura II include the Ventura Sprint and the Ventura SJ. Production of the Pontiac Ventura II ended in 1977.
