The sixth generation of Pontiac Bonneville was introduced for the 1977 model year. The sixth generation Bonneville saw the model return to Pontiac flagship status. The sixth generation Bonneville was available as a coupe or sedan, and was fitted with a range of V6 and V8 engines. The sixth generation Bonneville was in production until 1981 and was replaced by the Seventh Generation Pontiac Bonneville.
