The 1970 Plymouth Superbird was famous on the NASCAR circuit and the street. Just under 2,000 Super Birds were produced. The car is a performance variant of the Road Runner. It could be ordered with the 426ci V8 Hemi and a choice of 440ci V8 engines. The 440ci with three two-barrel carburetors, which is known as the Six Pack or V code, was the most powerful of the 440ci options, with an output of 390hp. A Four-speed pistol grip style manual, as well as automatic transmissions, were also available. Just 665 examples of the 440ci Six Pack were produced.
