The fifth generation Plymouth Fury was introduced for the 1969 model year. The fifth generation Fury was built on a full size platform, and was offered in sedan, coupe, convertible, and wagon body styles. Also known briefly as the Plymouth VIP, the fifth generation Fury was available with a range of inline six and V8 engines. The fifth generation Fury featured I, II, III, and Sport Fury variants. The fifth generation Fury was in production until 1973 and was replaced by the Sixth Generation Plymouth Fury.
