The second generation Plymouth Belvedere was introduced for the 1955 model year. The second generation Belvedere was available as a sedan, coupe, convertible, and station wagon, and was fitted with a range of inline six and V8 engines. A notable variant was the Plymouth Fury, a high performance version of the Belvedere. The second generation Belvedere was in production until 1956, when it was replaced by the Third Generation Plymouth Belvedere.
