The third generation of Oldsmobile Cutlass was unveiled for the 1968 model year. This updated generation of Cutlass was available in a variety of body styles on two different wheelbases, and with a range of inline 6 or V8 engines. The Cutlass Supreme, which had been the top variant for the Cutlass was spun off into its own model, as was the 442. The third generation Cutlass was built until 1972, when the Fourth Generation Oldsmobile Cutlass was introduced.
