Introduced for the 1995 model year, the Nissan 240SX of the S14 generation (known as the Silvia in Japan and 200SX in other markets) was made to look longer, wider, and lower than the previous 240SX from the S13 generation. The hatchback and convertible body styles were eliminated and the pop-up lights were replaced for fixed headlights as well. The US market received a 2.4-liter four cylinder (KA24DE) capable of 155 hp, powering the rear wheels via a 4-speed automatic or 5-speed manual transmission. The 240SX was available in multiple trim levels including a base model, SE, and LE trim.
