The Morgan Plus 8 was a series of sports cars introduced in 1968. The Plus 8, also referred to as the +8, was based on the Morgan +4, but was powered by a Rover-sourced V8 engine. This model was offered as an open top roadster with drive going to the rear wheels through manual or automatic transmissions. Morgan built the Plus 8 in two main generations, the 1st, introduced in 1968 and running until 2004, was powered by a Rover's V8 engine (3.5L, 3.9L, and 4.6L units). The second generation, which ran from 2012 until 2018, was largely similar to the original, but was fitted with a BMW-sourced 4.8L V8 engine. Production of the Morgan Plus 8 ended in 2018.
