Inspired in part by the success of the famous works MG B's that competed in Sebring (and the Targa Florio) in 1967-69, many MG B owners found their cars were very well suited for many different types of racing, including both on and off road disciplines. The sheer numbers of MG B's produced and sold made them an inexpensive and popular option for budget-friendly race efforts all over the world. Many of these are street legal and are still very common in vintage rally and racing events both in Europe and the US.
