For the 2013 model year, Mercedes-Benz introduced the GT variant of the SLS AMG. This new evolution of the SLS saw numerous small changes through the model, with the most notable upgrades being increased horsepower (583hp) from the 6.2L 'M159' V8 engine, and quicker transmission response times. The GT, which was available as a Gullwing Coupe or Roadster, also received an updated interior, as well as a range of new cosmetic options. The SLS GT was offered until 2014, replacing the model with the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT Final Edition.
