The Mercedes-Benz S600 Coupe, known as the 600SEC before 1993, was a variant of the C140 S-Class Coupe that was introduced for the 1994 model year. This series of rear wheel drive luxury coupes were powered by Mercedes' M120 E60 engine, which was a 6.0L V12 that generated 400hp. Sales of the W140 S600 Coupe ended in 1999 as the C140 CL-Class, when Mercedes decided to spin off the S-Class Coupes into their own series, known as the CL-Class.
