The third generation of the Mercedes-Benz GLS-Class, known as the X167, was introduced for the 2020 model year, replacing the Mercedes-Benz GL / GLS - X166. The X167 GLS-Class is 6 inches longer than its predecessor to give the second and third row a more comfortable position. These cars use the Airmatic air suspension system, and as an option, it can be upgraded with E-Active Body Control suspension, which can counteract body roll by controlling each suspension spring individually. This feature uses a camera that scans the road ahead and determines the kind of fixing needed to have the most comfortable and secure drive. Variantes include the GLS 450 4MATIC, GLS 580 4MATIC, Maybach GLS 600 4MATIC and  AMG GLS63 4MATIC+.
