The Mercedes-Benz 300CE Cabriolet was a variant of the A124 Cabriolet that was introduced for the 1991 model year. The elegant 300CE in it´s convertible version was featured with the Mercedes' M104.992 engine. This 3.0L inline six featured four valves per cylinder, and generated 180hp and 188 lb ft of torque. Power from the engine was sent to the rear wheels through manual or automatic transmission options. The A124 Mercedes-Benz 300CE Cabriolet was built until 1997. At the end of production of the A124 E-Class Convertibles, Mercedes introduced the CLK-Class, which was the new name used for E-Class based coupes and convertibles.
