The Mercedes-Benz CL600 was a variant of the C215 CL-Class that was introduced for the 2000 model year. The CL 600 was a series of luxury coupes that were initially powered by Mercedes' M137 E58 engine. This 362hp 5.8L V12 was used until 2003, when Mercedes began fitting the CL600 with their M275 powerplant, a 493hp twin-turbo 5.5L V12. Both engines were paired to a 5 speed automatic transmission, sending power to the rear wheels. A total of 8,603 examples of the CL600 were built by the end of production in 2006, when it was replaced by the C216 Mercedes-Benz CL600.
