The Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Black Series was the top of the line performance variant for the W204 C-Class that debuted for the 2012 model year. The C 63 AMG Black Series was only offered in a coupe body style, and was powered by Mercedes' M156 KE63 engine. This naturally aspirated 6.2L V8 powerplant was a more potent version of the engine found in the C63 AMG, generating 510hp and 457 lb ft of torque. This power was sent to the rear wheels via a 7 speed automatic transmission. Production of the Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Black Series lasted until 2015, with a total of 800 examples built.
