The Mercedes-AMG GT was introduced for the 2015 model year as a two door coupe that was given the chassis code C190. This series of high performance, luxury sports cars were available in a variety of trim levels, including the Base GT, GT C, GT S, and GT R. Other variants were also available, such as the track focused GT R Pro, and the limited edition GT C Edition 50. The top offering for the AMG GT is the high performance GT Black Series. While these variants offered various levels of performance and equipment, they all featured Mercedes-AMG's M178 twin-turbo 4.0L V8 engine.
