The Mazda RX-8 Grand Touring package was available from 2004 to 2012 for customers looking for a more luxurious RX-8. While it was initially treated as an Options Package, it was converted as a Trim level of 2006. It was priced below the RX-8 R3. The Grand Touring package was an improvement inside and out. Inside, customers are treated to features like heated and lumbar supported seats and a Bose sound system. On the outside, Mazda added a moon roof, Xenon headlights, rain-sensing wipers, and other features. The DSC (Dynamic Stability Control) system is one of the only mechanical improvements to the car. The RX-8 Grand Touring is offered in manual or automatic transmissions, with added horsepower given to the six-speed manual on all models.
