The Lamborghini Diablo was launched into the automotive world in 1990. Continuing the tradition of the flagship V12 models, the Diablo was introduced with a mid-mounted 5.7L V12 engine capable of producing 485hp. With a sleek Marcello Gandini inspired design and a potent powerplant, the Diablo was the first Lamborghini to be able to reach 200mph. A large number of variants were created for the Diablo with the main ones being the Base Model, the SV, and the VT. Factory kits, and limited run cars such as the SE30, the GT, and the GTR, also feature in the Diablo's history, and with fewer numbers made, they are highly sought after examples. Manufactured until 2001, the Diablo was saw an end to production in order to allow Lamborghini to focus on their next flagship V12 - the Murciélago.
