The Lamborghini Diablo VT was introduced in 1993 featuring numerous improvements from the Base Model Diablo. The most notable improvement being the introduction of the VT four wheel drive system. Among other improvements for drive-ability were standard power steering, and adjustable electronic dampers. While the VT had various mechanical improvements, the exterior and interior featured many updates as well. The exterior featured new air intakes on the front bumper, as well as enlarged rear air intakes, these intakes aided in brake cooling, and eventually found their way onto the base model as well, making differentiation based on appearance very difficult. The VTs interior saw a raft of updates, with redesigned, re-positioned seats improving comfort as well as headroom. An updated, more ergonomic dashboard added to the increased comfort. As with the exterior changes, the interior updates also soon found their way onto the base model, making the VT and the base model visually similar apart from their mechanical differences.
