The second generation of Jensen-Healey was introduced in 1974. Known as the Mk II, the second generation Jensen-Healey used the same drivetrain and engine as the Mk I, but had a raft of improvements to the usability, which included a better trimmed interior as well as optional air conditioning. The Mk II featured a largely similar body to the Mk I, except for the rounded headlight cowls and additional brightwork. A version of the Jensen-Healey known as the JH5 appeared in 1975, this car featured Union Jack badging on the sides, as well as a five speed manual gearbox. These cars are considered to be part of the Mk II. The Jensen-Healey Mk II was built until 1976, when production ended.
