The Jensen Interceptor Mk II was the second evolution of the Second Generation Interceptor. This new iteration of the reborn Interceptor was introduced for the 1970 model year, and featured a range of improvements from the Mk I. The Mk II saw mild updates to the exterior styling, including a new front grill and revised rear taillights. The interior also saw much attention, with improved fit and finish along the addition of optional air conditioning. Initially, the Mk II was fitted with the same 6.3L V8 engine as used in the Mk I, but in 1971, Jensen began fitting a Chrysler-sourced 7.2L V8 unit. Both manual and automatic transmissions were available for the Mk II Interceptor, which was produced until 1971. A total of 1,128 examples were built before the Mk II was replaced by the Jensen Interceptor Mk III.
