The Infiniti Q50 is a series of mid-size luxury cars that debuted for the 2014 model year. The Q50 was the successor to the Infinti G, and was largely based on the Japanese market Nissan Skyline. This new series of cars was available in a four door sedan body style, and was offered in rear wheel drive or all wheel drive configurations. In terms of power, the Q50 has been equipped with a variety of inline four or V6 engines. As well as naturally aspirated and turbocharged engines, the Q50 is also available with a diesel or hybrid powerplant. These engines range in power from the diesel's 168hp to the 400hp from the twin-turbo V6 engine offered in the top of the line Red Sport 400 variant.
