The third generation of Infiniti G debuted for the 2003 model year and was known as the V35. The V35 generation of Infiniti G was based on the Nissan Skyline, and was offered in only one variant, the G35, which was available in Sedan or Coupe body styles. This series of cars were powered by Nissan's VQ35DE 3.5L V6 engine, which was offered with outputs ranging from 260hp to 298hp. This engine was paired to a 6 speed manual or 5 speed automatic transmission. Both rear wheel drive and all wheel drive configurations were available. Although the V35 Infiniti G35 sedan was built until 2006, the coupe version remained in production until 2007. The V35 generation of Infiniti G was replaced by the Fourth Generation Infiniti G (V36).
