Hudson was an American automotive manufacturer founded in 1909. The Hudson Motor Company was created by Roy D. Chapin with funding from the company's namesake, Joseph L. Hudson. The company's first offering was the Hudson Twenty, and soon after, models such as the Super Six helped establish Hudson as a leading automaker in the US. While models like the Commodore and Hornet are some of the most well known Hudsons, the Big Boy Pickup and Italia are also treasured by the motoring world. In 1954, Hudson merged with Nash, creating the American Motors Corporation, which continued to produce cars under the Hudson name until 1957, when the brand was discontinued.
