The third generation of GMC Yukon was introduced for the 2007 model year. This redesigned and updated generation of Yukon was built on the GMT900 platform, and was largely an upmarket version of the Chevrolet Tahoe. The third generation Yukon was offered with a wide range of V8 engines options, including hybrid selections, and was in production until 2014, when GMC introduced the Fourth Generation Yukon.
