The GMC C/K was a series of pickup trucks introduced for the 1960 model year. These trucks were upmarket versions of the Chevrolet C/K trucks with which they shared a name. Throughout their production life, C/Ks were offered in two or four wheel drive, with two wheel drive variants designated 'C', and four wheel drive variants designated as 'K.' GMC offered the C/K in light, medium, and heavy duty models, all available with a wide range of inline six, V6, and V8 engines. Three generations were produced: 1st Gen (1960-1966), 2nd Gen (1967-1972), and 3rd Gen (1973-1989). While production of the Chevrolet C/K continued after 1987, GMC versions were known as the GMC Sierra from 1987 onward.
