The Shelby Mustang GT500 was a high performance variant of the 3rd Gen Shelby Mustang that debuted for the 2020 model year. This latest iteration of the legendary GT500 name was only offered in a coupe body style, and was powered by Ford's 5.2L 'Predator' V8 engine. This special handbuilt engine was fitted with a Roots supercharger to generate an output of 760hp and 625 lb ft of torque, all of which is sent to the rear wheels via a 7 speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox. A limited number of cars (1,250) often referred to as the "Golden Ticket" included the Carbon Fiber Track Pack which featured a GT4-inspired carbon-fiber rear wing, carbon-fiber splitters, and 20” ultra-lightweight exposed carbon-fiber wheels.
