The fourth generation of Ford Ranger was introduced for the 2019 model year. This new generation of Ranger saw the model return after an eight year hiatus as a mid-size, four door pickup. The fourth generation Ranger is based on the Australian Market Ford Ranger, and is only available in four door variants, and with a 2.3L turbocharged inline four engine. Other cab configurations, engines, trims, and transmissions are available outside of North America. Production of the 4th Gen Ranger ended in 2023, when it was replaced by the 5th Gen Ford Ranger.
