Famous Mustang tuner Jack Roush introduced his second generation of modifications to the SN-99 (1999-2004) Ford Mustang in 1999. The Roush Mustang was offered in several configurations of modifications. The Sport (3.8L V6) and Stage 1 (4.6L V8) packages featured exterior re-styling only. Stage 2 (4.6L V8) cars were given exterior and suspension upgrades, and Stage 3, available in 2000, was fitted with a supercharger on top of the 4.6L V8, which produced 350hp to the rear wheels, making the car good for a quarter-mile time of 13.5 seconds. Additional variants include the Boyd Coddington edition (4.6L V8), and the 360R, 380R, and the 440A, featuring the Supercharged 4.6L V8. Jack Roush would continue his work on the fifth generation of Mustangs.
