The second generation of the Ford Falcon was introduced for the 1964 model year. The 2nd Gen Falcon was a compact car that was built in a wide range of body styles, including coupe, sedan, wagon, convertible, and sedan delivery. For a variety of these body styles, both 2 or 4 door versions were available. Over the course of production, various engine options were offered depending on the year, including a 144ci, 170ci, and 200ci inline six, as well as a 260ci or 289ci V8. Both manual and automatic transmissions were offered, with drive sent to the rear wheels. Notable 2nd Gen variants included the luxurious Futura and sporty Sprint. Production of the 2nd Gen Ford Falcon ended in 1965, when it was replaced by the 3rd Gen Ford Falcon.
