Beginning in 1999, Dodge introduced the Viper American Club Racer. Better known as the Viper ACR, this new series of track focused variants gained slightly more power and saw a raft of weight saving changes throughout the car. Introduced for the Second Generation Viper, the ACR gained improvements to the airflow system adding an additional 10hp, as well as a new race ready suspension. In order to lighten the car, things such as the air conditioning, radio, and fog lights were removed.
