The fourth generation of Dodge Ram was introduced for the 2009 model year. Starting in 2010, Dodge separated the Ram into its own brand, with a range of light (1500), medium (2500), and heavy-duty (3500) variants as well as a 4500. Regular, quad, and crew cabs were offered, as well as chassis cab variants, which were available in rear or four-wheel drive. A range of powerful inline six, V6, and V8 engines was offered on the fourth generation Ram, which was built until 2018 when the Fifth Generation Ram was introduced.
