The third generation of Dodge Ram 3500 heavy-duty trucks was introduced in 2003. These trucks were available as "dualies" or standard axle trucks and powered by a 5.7L V8 and a 5.9L (until 2007) and the 6.7L (2007-2009) Cummins diesel engines. A V10 was available from 2002-2003. The 3500 was available with quad cab body styles and in 2007 the Chassis Cab was offered. The 3500 third generation ended in 2009 with the beginning of the 4th Generation Ram.
