The third generation of Dodge Ram 2500 medium-duty truck was introduced in 2003. The rugged suspension and 4WD was complimented by stronger engines than the 1500, like the 5.9L (until 2007) and the 6.7L (2007-2009) Cummins diesel engines. The 2500 was available with standard and quad cab body styles. The 2500 third generation ended in 2009 with the beginning of the 4th Generation Ram.
