Chevrolet introduced the sixth generation of Suburban for the 1967 model year. This generation of Suburban was unique in the fact that it was offered as a three door SUV. The passenger side featured a front and rear door, while the drivers side only had a single door. Both rear wheel drive and all wheel driver versions were available, as was were manual and automatic transmissions. Power came from a wide range of engines, including inline six, V6, and V8 units. Chevrolet built the sixth generation until 1972, and replaced it was the Seventh Generation Chevrolet Suburban.
