The fifth generation of Chevrolet Impala was introduced for the 1965 model year. This latest generation of Impala received updated styling, although the model saw yearly design updates to all body styles. Chevrolet offered convertibles, hardtops, coupes, sedans, and station wagons, as well as a wide range of optional V8 engines alongside the standard 230 inline six unit. Production of the fifth generation continued until 1970, when it was replaced by the Sixth Generation Chevrolet Impala.
