The Chevrolet Corvette Z06 was a performance variant of the C6 Corvette that was introduced for the 2006 model year. The famed Z06 name returned for the C6 and was offered in a coupe body style with a unique body kit. These cars were powered by Chevrolet's LS7 engine, which was a 7.0L naturally aspirated V8 that generated 505hp. Drive was sent from the engine to the rear wheels via a 6 speed manual transmission. A wide range of variants were offered for the Z06, including the Base Model, Ron Fellows Championship Edition, 427 Limited Edition, CSR, GT1 Championship Edition, Centennial Edition, and Carbon Limited Edition.
