The Corvette celebrated its 25th anniversary in 1978. The C3 generation would get a slight update to the body with a "fastback" style rear window. Chevy also allowed customers to celebrate with an option package designated as B2Z. For an additional $399, customers could have their Corvette painted in a two-tone scheme with the top half of the car in silver and the lower half in gray and a pinstripe separating the two halves. For an additional cost, Chevy also offered unique wheels and mirrors, which were also found on the pace care models. There were no drivetrain modifications offered to the variant.
