The Chevrolet Camaro IROC-Z was a performance focused variant of the Third Generation Camaro. The IROC-Z was named for the Interational Race of Champions, and was initially offered as an option package on the Z28. These cars received improved suspension, upgraded fuel injection, and custom decals. The standard engine was the 5.0L LB9 unit, but an optional 'High Output' L69 was also available. Production of the Camaro IROC-Z ended in 1990, when Chevrolet's agreement with the International Race of Champions concluded.
