The second generation of Cadillac Series 61 was unveiled for the 1941 model year. This new generation of Series 61 was available as a coupe, sedan, convertible, or station wagon, and was fitted with a 5.7L V8 engine. Cadillac also introduced the Series 63, which was largely a Series 61, but with a different body. The second generation of Series 61 only available in 1942, and would be replaced by the Third Generation Cadillac Series 61.
