The fifth generation of Cadillac DeVille was introduced for the 1977 model year, and was offered as a series of luxury sedans and coupes. The fifth generation DeVille saw the model downsized, yet still available with a range of V8 engines. Production of the 5th gen DeVille continued until 1984, when the Sixth Generation Cadillac DeVille was introduced.
