The fifth generation of Buick Electra was introduced for the 1977 model year. The fifth generation of Electra was downsized from previous generations, and was available as a sedan, coupe, or station wagon. The fifth generation Electra was offered with a range of V6 and V8 engine options, and included the Limited trim level.  The fifth generation Electra was in production until 1984 and was replaced by the Sixth Generation Buick Electra.
