The BMW R69S was a family of sporty motorcycles that debuted in 1960. The R69S was a more powerful evolution of the BMW R69 that was equipped with a high compression 594cc horizontally opposed twin engine that generated 42hp. This engine was paired to a 4 speed transmission that sent drive to the rear wheel via shaft drive. BMW would later introduced a version of the R69S with telescopic forks known as the BMW R69US. Production of the BMW R69S ended in 1969.
